This item is $6.25/lb, the estimated final price is Final Price will be approximately $720 but will vary based on the hanging weight of the animal. the estimated hanging weight is approximately 80-100 pounds. Your final price is determined by the hanging weight of the pig. Once the pig has been processed and weighed, you will receive an email with a link to pay for the final charge.

We’ve partnered with a Colorado family farm to provide you with Natural Berkshire Pork. No antibiotics, no steroids, no added hormones. Our pigs are Berkshire breed pork raised in Colorado with our same commitment to providing you with the healthiest protein options for your family’s dinner table.

And half and whole customers get all the bones and organ meat if they select them when we work with you on your cutting instructions..

PICK UP AT BUTCHER OR HAVE DELIVERED TO YOUR HOME (additional delivery fee)

When your meat is done you can pick it up at Greener Pastures USDA processing or we deliver it to your doorstep.

Half Natural Berkshire Pork (approx 75-80 pounds of finished meat)

While the weight varies by animal, over the last number of years the average final packaged weight of a 1/2 pig has been between 75 to 80 pounds of pork. The average hanging weight of a 1/2 pig has been has been approx. 80-100 pounds, but this is different from animal to animal - the hanging weight can vary depending on the overall size of the pig. At Winters Cattle Ranch, you are charged for the actual hanging weight of your 1/2 pig.

$200 non-refundable deposit / remainder due on butcher date once pork has been weighed.


Make a Deposit:
Your deposit ensures that one of our pigs will be grown just for you. The total deposit will be applied to the final cost of the order.

Butcher Costs:
You will also be responsible for paying the butcher costs for half-hog butcher fees, which may vary.  The processing fee includes the slaughter plant fee, the cost of the boxes, and the responsible disposal/reuse fee for the few unused parts of the pig. The average butcher fee of $175 will vary based on weight and processing increases may apply.

The final price for 1/2 pig will be approximately $700 but will vary based on the processing fee and hanging weight of the animal.

Once at the butcher it takes 14-18 days for dry-age processing to be completed.  Once your order is ready the butcher will contact you for delivery or pick up.
